If you follow my Instagram, you would know that I spent a few days of summer in the city of love, light and fashion.
Yes, I’m now back home after some wonderful days in Paris. But how could they not be wonderful? In my opinion, Paris is the most beautiful and inspiring city in the world. I guess that’s why I keep coming back.
Where ever I travel to, I always like to go on a little walk by myself in the local area. I disconnect myself from any social media, and simply wander around, appreciating my surroundings. My favorite area is the charming Saint Germain and when in Paris, this is where I’ll spend the majority of my time. There’s always new places to explore, whether that’s small book shops or cafés. Well, I must admit, I always come back to my favorite café Les Deux Magots. It’s become very touristy over the years (but who am I to judge, I’m a tourist myself). I come here because of the atmosphere and the ”Parisian feel”. Famous artists such as Picasso and Hemingway used to come here, so I like to imagine how it used to be back in the day.
Now let’s talk about the outfit!
When I saw this blouse, my immediate reaction was: that would look good in Paris. I know it sounds strange, but that’s just how I shop. If I can’t picture myself wearing it a specific place, then I’m probably not gonna buy it. Now, that can be a tough rule, especially if you love clothes like I do, but it’s a nice rule to keep in mind.
Having that said, I did stop by the iconic Chanel store on Rue Cambon and picked up the classic ballerina flats in beige and black. I’ve wanted those shoes ever since I saw them, years back. They’re so timeless and has become a staple in my wardrobe. I usually don’t give ”reviews” on things I buy, but I just have to mention how comfortable they are, in case any of you are interested in buying them. I own a lot of ballerina flats, and I always get blisters when I wear new ones. That’s not the case with these, though. I’ve now worn them around 5 times, and they’re just as comfortable now, as they were the first time I wore them.
I actually unboxed them on camera in my Paris Vlog, so if you want to see that, I’ve linked the video above.
